ORIGIN: Amsterdam is a song written, composed and performed in 1964 by Jacques Brel... One of my favorites;-)

ORIGIN: Those Were the Days was filed in 1926 by the Russian composer Boris Fomine (1900-1948) under the title Дорогой длинною (Dorogoï dlinnoïou)'; it is inspired by Gypsy folklore, with lyrics by Konstantin Podrevski.

ORIGIN: The Godfather is the soundtrack to the 1972 film of the same name, released by Paramount Records, and 1991 on CD by MCA.

The composer is ; Giovanni « Nino » Rota* (born December 3, 1911 in Milan and died April 10, 1979 in Rome).

ORIGIN: Mon amant de Saint-Jean is a French song from 1942 that was a huge success. Realistic song recounting the unseating loves of a young girl for a seducer, the lyrics are by Leon Agel and the music of Émile Carrara* on a rhythm of musette waltz.

ORIGIN: Profumo di donna is the music of the Italian film directed by Dino Risi* in 1974.

ORIGIN: Fiddler on the Roof is a two-act musical by Joseph Stein, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music of Jerry Bock*, based on the work of Cholem Aleikhem.

ORIGIN: Casatschok is a French song by Israeli singer Rika Zaraï, whose album was released in France in January 1969 on the Philips label. This song is inspired by the Russian song Katyusha arranged by Boris Rubaschkin*, and became one of the singer's main hits. The record sold more than 400,000 copies, becoming the 11th best selling 45-lap record in 1969.

ORIGIN: Under the Sky of Paris is the song originally performed by Jean Bretonnière in Julien Duvivier's 1951 film Under the Sky of Paris. The lyrics are by Jean Dréjac and the music of Hubert Giraud*.

Mademoiselle de Paris is a song created in 1948 by Jacqueline François. The lyrics are by Henri Contet, and the music of Paul Durand*. This great classic among songs of French variety has been sung by many artists.
